Massage For Back Pain

One of the most common health problems that affects people who work in offices all day is back problems. This is because sitting at a computer for the majority of the day can really put a lot of stress on your back, shoulders and arms. Massage is a great way of releasing the tension in your back reducing stress in an enjoyable way.

There are many different kinds of massage, but if you have mild back pain then you are probably best going with a sport massage therapist as they know more about the anatomy of the body in many cases.

However if you are going to try massage for a medical problem such as back ache then you really should get a recommendation from your doctor. They will be able to advise you on whether a massage is suitable for your personal condition, as well as maybe referring you to a high quality therapist who is most likely to help. A doctor will always provide the most accurate health advice.

On the other hand if you just want to have a relaxing massage then something like a Swedish massage is probably a better bet, as sports massages aren’t always as relaxing as they are more about solving an injury then enjoyment. It may also help with bulging disc treatment.
