How Can You Help A Depressed Person to Recover

Depression is quite common in today’s stress filled world. It may be that our friends or family members are suffering from depression.

If that is the case then how do we help them out? What can we do when we find out that our loved ones are suffering from depression. Many people don’t have a clue, so this article shall lay down important tips for such people.

1. Educate Yourself First:

2. Show Your Love and Care:
A depressed person may find even simple, everyday work as too demanding. For example, washing dishes, cleaning house, paying bills etc may seem overwhelming to them. You can greatly help such people by lending a helping hand during such work.

Tell them that their Lord is Most Merciful. He will take proper care of His servants. Remind them that night does not remain forever, and the day with all its brightness soon follows it.

Also remind them politely of their responsibilities towards their spouse, children or old parents. Bring their focus on those people who are important to them so that they will continue to persist in fighting off depression.
